Per Diem Paraeducator in Fort Irwin, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide vital support for students in school environments near Fort Irwin, CA. These per diem opportunities offer flexible schedulingideal for compassionate individuals looking to make a positive impact. In this role, you'll work under the direction of teachers and staff, supporting students 1:1 or in small groups, and helping create an inclusive and safe classroom experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially during classroom sessions
• Provide direct 1:1 or small group support as guided by teaching staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow behavior support plans and implement IEPs where applicable
• Offer assistance with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Maintain a respectful and welcoming learning environment

To be eligible, candidates must:

• Hold a high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years old
• Pass a TB test in accordance with district guidelines
• Be able to stand, walk, and help with lifting tasks
• Have current clearances or be willing to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred experience includes:

• Work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience with students with special needs or behavioral challenges, including autism
• Exposure to CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (not required)
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and collaboration skills
