Per Diem Instructional Aide - Fontana, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to support dynamic school communities in a meaningful, flexible way. As an essential classroom partner, youll provide compassionate support to studentsespecially those needing 1:1 academic or behavioral assistancewhile enjoying per diem scheduling that fits your life. This role is tailor-made for individuals who thrive working with children and are eager to contribute positively within a structured school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 or small group academic and behavioral support as directed by school staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Support teachers by implementing behavior support plans and following IEPs as directed
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Aid in student mobility, supervision, and personal care, as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum age of 18
• Ability to complete or update TB test (per district requirements)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if needed
• Willingness to provide or obtain all required clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work within schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Skills or certification in CPI, PMT, or RBT are a plus but not mandatory
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented attitude
