Per diem, flexible assignments are available to assist students 1:1 or in small group settings within schools near Flint, MI. In this role, your primary focus will be:

• Providing academic, behavioral, and social support to students under the guidance of teachers and school staff.
• Offering individualized or small-group assistance to help students fully participate in classroom activities.
• Assisting students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement.
• Implementing behavioral support plans and following IEPs as needed.
• Aiding with mobility, supervision, and, when required, personal care to ensure student safety and comfort.
• Creating and maintaining a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom experience for all learners.

To be eligible, candidates must meet school compliance requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, and at least 18 years of age.
• Current TB test (or willing to obtain as required).
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary.
• Up-to-date background clearances, or a willingness to secure them before starting.

Preferred qualities include experience in educational or child care settings, working with special needs or behavioral challenges, and familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (helpful, not required). Reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit are highly valued.
