Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Evanston, Illinois

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students academically, socially, and behaviorally within classroom environments
• Provide direct 1:1 or small-group support as guided by teachers and school staff
• Help with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Follow behavior support plans and IEPs as needed
• Support supervision, mobility, and personal care needs for assigned students
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• TB test compliance (per district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and offer physical assistance when necessary
• Willing to provide or update applicable clearances prior to start

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, behavioral health, special education, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral/developmental challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methods (not required)
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented approach
