Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Escondido, California

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to support students on a flexible, as-needed basis in a school-based setting near Escondido, CA. These per diem opportunities are perfect for caring professionals excited to empower students by offering academic, behavioral, and social supportespecially in 1:1 or small group environments under the guidance of teachers and school staff.

What Youll Do:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support that helps students succeed in the classroom
• Follow teachers instructions to assist with learning, participation, and engagement
• Help students transition between routines, move safely around the school, and access learning activities
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as needed
• Offer support with mobility, supervision, and personal care when necessary
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture

Who Were Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to obtain a current TB test (per district policy)
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required
• Current school clearances or willingness to complete them before starting
• Preferred: Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Preferred: Background with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus (not required)
• A reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
