Per Diem Paraprofessional in Escondido, CA

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to support local schools through flexible, per diem opportunities. These roles are tailored for individuals passionate about helping students thrive, offering the chance to provide important 1:1 or small-group assistance in classroom settings. Key Responsibilities:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support within classrooms
• Provide personalized assistance to students individually or in small groups, following guidance from teachers and staff
• Aid students with daily routines, transitions, and participation
• Help implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs where needed
• Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care tasks as appropriate
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and respectful environment

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Recent TB test (in line with district guidelines)
• Able to stand, walk, and provide lifting assistance when required
• Current school compliance clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Background:

• Experience in schools, child care, behavioral health, or special education
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or challenging behaviors
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training is helpful but not mandatory
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative outlook
