Per Diem Instructional Aide in Escondido, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to support students 1:1 in local schools. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially within K-12 classroom settings
• Provide direct 1:1 or small-group support under the direction of teachers and staff
• Help students navigate daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as directed
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care, ensuring safety and respect at all times
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment

School Compliance Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age 18
• TB test (must meet district standards)
• Ability to stand, walk, and lend physical assistance as needed
• Current clearances or readiness to obtain them prior to your start date

Preferred Background:

• Previous experience in school, special education, child care, or behavioral health environments
• Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is helpful but not required
• Reliability, patience, and teamwork are strongly valued
