Per Diem 3rd Grade Special Education Paraprofessional in Escondido, CA

Instructional Aide subs are needed to provide direct classroom support for students in 3rd grade and other assignments, working per diem in a school-based environment. These flexible opportunities allow you to pick up shifts as coverage is neededideal for reliable, compassionate professionals interested in making a positive difference in the academic and personal lives of children. Instructional Aides help facilitate learning by working 1:1 or in small groups under the direction of teachers and school staff.

Responsibilities:

• Support students academic, behavioral, and social progress in the classroom
• Provide individualized or small-group assistance as directed
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and encourage classroom participation
• Implement behavior plans and follow IEPs when applicable
• Support students who require mobility, supervision, and/or personal care
• Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to obtain or provide current TB test results (per district requirements)
• Able to stand, walk, and assist students with lifting/mobility as needed
• Current school clearances, or willingness to obtain them prior to starting
• Preferred: Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges is a plus
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is desirable, but not required
• Candidates should demonstrate reliability, patience, and a strong team mindset
