As an Instructional Aide providing per diem coverage, youll foster an inclusive and supportive environment for students in need of 1:1 or small-group assistance. Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff, champion positive student behaviors, and reinforce academic and social growth. Each day brings a unique opportunity to support young learners and assist in creating a safe, productive learning space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer 1:1 or small-group support under the direction of school staff and educators
• Help students with classroom participation, daily routines, and transitions
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs as needed
• Support academic, behavioral, and social development in classroom settings
• Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Current TB test (per district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Background clearances (must be current or willing to obtain before starting)

Preferred Experience:

• Work in school, special education, behavioral health, or childcare environments
• Familiarity supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (a plus, not required)
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented
