Per Diem Special Education Paraprofessional in Escondido, CA

As an Instructional Aide, youll work 1:1 or with small groups to provide vital academic, behavioral, and social support in classroom settings. Youll assist students in staying engaged with lessons, help them navigate routines and transitions, and implement individualized support plansall in a collaborative environment with teachers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academic and behavioral success in the classroom
• Provide individualized or small-group assistance as directed
• Help students with daily classroom routines, transitions, and participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEP plans as applicable
• Assist with student mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintain a respectful, safe, and inclusive school environment

To be considered, youll need:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• TB test (per district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required
• Up-to-date or willingness to obtain required clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with autism or behavioral/learning needs
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a bonus (not mandatory)
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative attitude
