Per Diem Paraeducator in Escondido, CA

What Youll Bring:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Current TB test (per district requirements)
• Ability to walk, stand, and assist with lifting as needed
• Willingness to secure or provide required clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in a school, child care, special education, or behavioral health setting
• Direct support experience with students with disabilities, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with behavior management (CPI, PMT, RBT) a plus
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom environments
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance in coordination with teachers and support staff
• Guide students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow individualized plans and behavioral support guidelines
• Assist with mobility needs, personal care, and supervision
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students
