Per Diem Teacher Assistant - Escondido, California

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom environments
• Providing one-on-one or small group assistance under the direction of teachers and school staff
• Assisting students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implementing behavior support plans and following IEPs as directed
• Supporting mobility, supervision, and personal care needs when required
• Maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning atmosphere

Basic requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Clear and current TB test, or willingness to comply with district requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with occasional lifting
• Willingness to obtain necessary clearances prior to starting

Preferred background:

• Experience working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges such as autism
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, but not mandatory
• Reliable, patient, team-focused approach
