Per Diem Teacher Aide | Elgin, Illinois

Deliver impactful support to students in a dynamic school setting as a Registered Nurse on a per diem, as-needed basis. These flexible roles offer the opportunity to work 1:1 with students, providing essential care and fostering an inclusive educational experience. Shifts are available based on school coverage needs, allowing you to tailor your schedule to your availability and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate medical, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom environments
• Provide one-on-one assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Aid students with medical needs, daily routines, transitions, and active classroom participation
• Support personal care, mobility, and appropriate supervision
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere for all students

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• TB test (as required by district)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if necessary
• Willingness to secure or update required clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Experience supporting individuals with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Skills such as CPR, G-Tube, or Trach care (a plus, not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
