Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Elgin, Illinois

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to provide essential support within school settings near Elgin, IL. These flexible, per diem opportunities are perfect for compassionate individuals who want to make a positive impact on students' academic, behavioral, and social successwhile accommodating their own schedules.

In this role, you will:

• Assist students 1:1 or in small groups under the direction of classroom teachers and school staff
• Aid students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and active participation in school activities
• Implement prescribed behavior support plans and follow IEPs as needed
• Support student mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and engaged classroom environment

To be eligible, you must:

• Hold a high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years old
• Obtain a TB test (as required by the district)
• Be capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting if necessary
• Have or be willing to obtain all required school clearances prior to starting

Preferred candidates will also have:

• Experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Background working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral/learning challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (helpful, but not required)
• A reliable, patient, and collaborative approach with students and staff

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.42 to $30.42. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
