Per Diem Instructional Aide - Elgin, IL

In this dynamic, school-based role, you will:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students within classroom settings
• Support students one-on-one or in small groups under the direction of teachers and school staff
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation in their learning environment
• Follow behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
• Help with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs when necessary
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all

What youll need:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Completion of a TB test (per district guidelines)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required
• Willingness to obtain required clearances prior to starting if not currently held

Preferred experience includes:

• Previous work in educational, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral concerns
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques is helpful, but not mandatory
• A reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
