Per Diem Paraeducator in Edmonds, WA

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students with classroom participation and daily routines under teacher and staff direction
• Provide targeted 1:1 or small-group support to promote academic and behavioral growth
• Support the implementation of behavior plans and follow students IEPs as needed
• Aid in supervision, mobility, and personal care tasks for students requiring extra assistance
• Help maintain a respectful, engaging, and safe classroom atmosphere

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Ability to pass required TB test and necessary background clearances
• Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting as needed
• Willingness to obtain clearances prior to starting the role

Preferred Experience:

• Previous paraprofessional, school, special education, or childcare setting background
• Experience supporting children with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices (a plus, but not required)
• Patient, reliable, and collaborative approach to work
