Per Diem Instructional Aide in Edmonds, WA

In this school-based role, youll work alongside teachers and staff to provide 1:1 or small-group support for students. Youll help learners achieve academically, participate in classroom activities, and navigate daily routines while fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Assist with transitions, classroom participation, and daily routines
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs when applicable
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and help create a positive, inclusive environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide lifting/physical support if needed
• TB test (as required by district)
• Current clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience valued (not required)
• Team-oriented, dependable, and patient approach
