Job Description

What youll do:
- Work closely with students one-on-one, providing crucial support tailored to individual needs
- Assist with activities of daily living: toileting, feeding, hygiene, and mobility
- Implement IEPs and support behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Reinforce classroom instruction and help with academic assignments
- Offer behavior support and ensure a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom
- Supervise during transitions, lunch, recess, and classroom routines
- Accurately document student progress and collaborate with school staff
What were looking for:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current Pennsylvania clearances: Act 34, Act 151, FBI Fingerprint, Act 168, and Mandated Reporter Training
- Willingness to assist with physical and personal care
- Strong communication, professionalism, and adaptability
- Ability to work independently in various school settings
Preferred experience:
- Background as a PCA, Paraprofessional, DSP, Teachers Aide, or BHT
- Experience with children who have autism, developmental disabilities, or require special education
- Familiarity with behavior management or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
