Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide vital classroom support in Allentown-area schools. Key Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom and small group settings
• Provide one-on-one or group assistance as directed by teachers and educational staff
• Help students with classroom participation, transitions between activities, and daily routines
• Follow and implement behavior support plans as well as Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as applicable
• Supervise, monitor mobility, and offer personal care to students when needed
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Essential Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to complete (or willingness to obtain) required Pennsylvania school clearances: PA Act 34 Criminal Background Check, PA Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance, PA Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting
• TB testing as per district guidelines
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift as needed

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work as a paraprofessional, instructional assistant, or in special education/child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training is a plus
• Patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed
