Per Diem Teacher Assistant - Detroit, Michigan

What Youll Do:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially under the direction of teachers and staff
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support, facilitating daily routines, participation, and smooth transitions
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs when required
• Offer assistance with mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as needed
• Create and maintain a respectful, inclusive, and safe atmosphere for all students

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to complete TB test and required clearances before starting
• Capable of supporting students physically (standing, walking, lifting if needed)

Preferred Background:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Comfortable working with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training is a plus but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
