Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Detroit, Michigan

What Youll Do:

• Assist students academically, socially, and behaviorally in classroom settings
• Provide one-on-one or small group support under the guidance of teachers and school staff
• Help students transition, participate in classroom activities, and follow daily routines
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as directed
• Assist with student mobility, supervision, and, as needed, personal care
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all learners

Requirements for Success:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to obtain a TB test (as required by school guidelines)
• Capability to stand, walk, and help with lifting if necessary
• Current clearances or readiness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background working in schools, childcare, behavioral health, or special education
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is valued, but not required
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative spirit
