Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to provide essential support to students in a dynamic school environment near Detroit, MI. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Assist with daily classroom routines, transitions, and active participation
• Follow behavior support plans and contribute to IEP implementation, as applicable
• Support students with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs
• Create and sustain a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment

Requirements for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• TB test, as required by the district
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Valid clearances, or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Previous experience working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT background (a plus, not mandatory)
• Reliability, patience, and a strong team spirit
