Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Des Plaines, Illinois

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting students individually or in small groups, following direction from educators and staff
• Supporting students with classroom participation, daily routines, transitions, and safe mobility
• Implementing behavior plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as directed
• Providing supervision and personal care support where needed
• Maintaining an inclusive, respectful, and safe classroom environment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• TB test compliance and willingness to complete clearances required by the school
• Experience in education, behavioral health, or child care settings preferred
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges a plus
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience desirable but not required
• Patient, reliable, and collaborative team player
