Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Des Plaines, Illinois

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for dynamic per diem opportunities supporting students 1:1 in school-based settings near Des Plaines, IL. As an Instructional Aide, youll:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support for students in classroom settings
• Assist individual students or small groups under the guidance of teachers and school staff
• Help students with daily school routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEPs as directed
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as required
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere

To be eligible for these positions, youll need:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Be at least 18 years old
• TB test (per district/school requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and provide physical assistance when needed
• Current clearances (or willingness to obtain prior to starting work)

Extra experience is valued, especially if you have:

• Worked in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare environments
• Supported students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT training (helpful but not required)
• A reliable, compassionate, and team-focused attitude

These assignments are per diem, so you can accept shifts that fit your availability.
