Per Diem Paraprofessional in Del Mar, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes play a vital role in supporting students and school staff throughout the academic year. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small-group academic, behavioral, and social support under teacher and staff direction
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation to foster engagement
• Help implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements with professionalism
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment for all students
• Maintain compliance with all school and district protocols

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test in accordance with district guidelines
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as required
• Up-to-date clearances, or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Background:

• Previous experience in a school, special education, behavioral health, or child care role
• Experience supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are advantageous, but not mandatory
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
