Per Diem Special Education Para Professional in Dearborn, MI

Position Highlights:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teaching staff
• Support students with daily routines, transitions, classroom participation, and academic tasks
• Assist with implementing behavior support plans and IEP recommendations
• Supervise, assist with mobility, and support personal care needs where appropriate
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming classroom environment
• Work per diem shifts based on school coverage needs, with flexibility for your schedule

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to pass a TB test and complete standard school clearances
• Physically able to stand, walk, and provide mobility or lifting assistance as necessary
• Willingness to complete background requirements before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in school, childcare, special education, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with disabilities, autism, or behavioral needs
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus
• Patient, reliable, and team-focused
