Per Diem Special Education Para Professional in Dearborn, MI

These per diem, as-needed opportunities allow you to fit work around your schedule, stepping in to assist students 1:1 or in small groups when coverage is needed.

Youll play an essential part in helping students achieve academic, behavioral, and social goals, guided by teachers and staff. From providing gentle reminders during transitions to implementing behavior support plans, your contributions will foster a safe, inclusive classroom experience.

What Youll Do:

• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by educators
• Aid with classroom routines, transitions, and daily participation
• Support implementation of behavior plans and IEPs
• Assist students with personal care, supervision, and mobility
• Maintain a respectful, positive learning atmosphere

What We Look For:

• High school diploma or GED; at least 18 years old
• Ability to meet school compliance (TB test, background clearances)
• Capable of standing, walking, and providing physical assistance as needed
• Willingness to obtain required clearances before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs or behavioral challenges
• Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus (not required)
