Per Diem Paraprofessional in Dearborn, MI

Responsibilities include:

• Providing one-on-one or small group academic, behavioral, and social support under the direction of teachers and school professionals
• Assisting students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom engagement
• Helping implement behavior support plans and following IEPs as required
• Supporting students with mobility, personal care, and supervision needs
• Maintaining a respectful, positive, and inclusive learning atmosphere

What you'll need:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• Completion of required TB testing (per district guidelines)
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current or obtainable background clearances in accordance with school requirements

Preferred skills:

• Experience in schools, special education, childcare, or behavioral health
• Familiarity with special needs, autism, or behavioral supports
• Experience implementing CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques (helpful but not mandatory)
• A reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
