Per Diem Teacher Aide | Dearborn, Michigan

What You'll Do:

• Assist students with classroom activities, transitions, and routines under teacher guidance
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support either 1:1 or in small group settings
• Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support strategies as needed
• Encourage student participation, independence, and engagement
• Support personal care, supervision, and mobility requirements
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Current or willing to obtain school clearance requirements (background checks, TB test)
• Ability to stand, walk, and help students with lifting/support as specified
• Compassionate, patient, and eager to help students succeed

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Comfort with CPI, PMT, or RBT approaches (helpful but not required)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
