Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Dearborn, MI

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide essential support to students in school-based settings near Dearborn, MI. Position Responsibilities:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classrooms
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group assistance under the direction of teachers or school staff
• Guide students through daily routines, transitions, and classroom activities
• Follow behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs as necessary
• Assist with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Essential Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 48 college credit hours or valid Paraprofessional Certification
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid TB test (per district requirement)
• Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally assist with lifting
• Background clearances current, or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Background:

• Classroom, special education, behavioral health, or child care experience
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT methods (not required, but a plus)
• Reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
