Per Diem Classroom Aide | Dalton, Georgia

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to support students on a per diem basis. These flexible opportunities are ideal for compassionate professionals who thrive in a school-based environment and want to make a positive difference by working directly with students. As an Instructional Aide, youll step in where needed to assist students 1:1 or in small groups, providing crucial academic, behavioral, and social support based on school coverage needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer individualized or small-group support to students as directed by teachers and staff
• Help maintain classroom structure by assisting with routines, transitions, and participation
• Support implementation of behavior support plans and follow IEPs where applicable
• Aid in student supervision, safety, mobility, and personal care if needed
• Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Georgia Paraprofessional Certification
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Current TB test per district requirements
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and lifting
• All required clearances (or willingness to obtain prior to starting)

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral concerns
• Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus but not mandatory
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative mindset
