Per Diem Paraprofessional in Dalton, GA

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group academic and behavioral support, following teacher and staff direction
• Assist students throughout the school day, including classroom participation, daily routines, and transitions
• Support behavior plans and help implement IEPs where applicable
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for every student

School Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age 18
• Ability to stand, walk, and help with lifting as necessary
• TB test (as required by the district)
• Current clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Background:

• Experience working in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Familiarity with supporting students with disabilities, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not required
• A reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
