Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Culver City, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide valuable support to students and school staff on a per diem basis in an engaging school environment near Culver City, CA. These flexible, as-needed roles allow you to build your experience in education while making a noticeable impact in the lives of studentswhether working one-on-one or assisting in small groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote academic, behavioral, and social growth for students in classroom settings
• Provide direct student assistance as guided by teachers and staff, including one-on-one and small group support
• Assist with daily routines and transitions to help students fully participate in school activities
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as needed
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care requirements as assigned
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone

Required Credentials:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• Current TB test (as specified by district guidelines)
• Ability to assist with lifting, standing, and walking throughout the shift
• Up-to-date clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral/ emotional challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques (a plus, but not mandatory)
• Reliable, compassionate, and collaborative approach
