Per Diem Paraprofessional in Cottonwood, CA

Instructional Aide substitutes are currently needed for per diem, school-based opportunities near Cottonwood, CA. As an Instructional Aide Substitute, youll:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially within classroom environments
• Provide individual or small-group assistance under the guidance of teachers and staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and active classroom engagement
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEP guidelines as needed
• Assist with mobility, general supervision, and personal care tasks
• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environment for all students

Requirements for school compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Successful completion of TB testing (per district guidelines)
• Current clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred skills and background:

• Prior experience in education, behavioral health, special education, or child care
• Background working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT (not required, but valued)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
