Job Description

Make a daily difference as a school-based Instructional Aide, providing meaningful support to students in a structured, caring environment. This per diem position offers flexible, as-needed shifts, making it the perfect opportunity for compassionate individuals seeking rewarding work that fits their schedule. As an Instructional Aide, youll offer 1:1 and small-group assistance, helping students achieve their academic, behavioral, and social goals each day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in classroom settingsacademically, behaviorally, and socially
  • Work 1:1 and with small groups as directed by school staff
  • Help students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
  • Implement behavior support plans; follow IEPs when applicable
  • Provide mobility, supervision, and personal care support as needed
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting or mobility support
  • TB test (per district requirements)
  • Clearances current or willingness to obtain before starting

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
  • Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral needs
  • CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (not required, but a plus)
  • Reliable, patient, team-oriented attitude
