Per Diem Teacher Assistant - Corning, New York

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide crucial support to students in school settings on a per diem, as-needed basis. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support in classrooms
• Work 1:1 or with small groups as needed
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Implement behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs
• Support student mobility, supervision, and personal care if necessary
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment

Requirements for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 18 years of age
• TB test (district requirement)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when necessary
• Current clearances, or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience & Qualities:

• Prior work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience (a plus, but not required)
• Reliable, patient, and strong teamwork skills
