Per Diem Paraprofessional in Corning, NY

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to support students in a rewarding school-based setting near Corning, NY. As an Instructional Aide, you will:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom environments
• Offer one-on-one or small group assistance, following directions from teachers and staff
• Help students during daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow behavior support plans and implement IEPs where applicable
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care when needed
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all learners

To meet school compliance requirements:

• You must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old
• Must meet district health mandates, including a TB test
• Able to stand, walk, and help with lifting as necessary
• Up-to-date background clearances (or willingness to obtain them prior to start)

Preferred candidates bring experience from educational, behavioral health, special education, or child care settings. Familiarity with supporting special needs students, autism, or challenging behaviors is valuable, as is CPI, PMT, or RBT background.
