Per Diem Paraeducator in Corning, NY

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for school-based, per diem opportunities near Corning, NY. If you have a compassionate spirit and a desire to positively influence students daily experiences, this flexible role is a great fit. As an Instructional Aide, youll step in to provide meaningful 1:1 support and small-group assistance, helping students thrive both academically and personallyall within a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom settings
• Deliver individualized or small-group assistance as guided by teachers and staff
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and full participation in activities
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and individual education programs (IEPs) when applicable
• Support with student mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students

Requirements for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB test as required by the district
• Physically able to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Background:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Knowledge working with special needs, behavioral challenges, or autism spectrum disorders
• CPI, PMT, or RBT background a plus (not required)
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative mindset
