Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Concord, California

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for flexible, school-based opportunities in the Concord, CA area. In this rewarding position, youll:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support for students in classroom settings.
• Offer 1:1 or small group assistance, following teachers and school staff direction.
• Help students with daily routines, transitions, and overall classroom participation.
• Implement behavior support plans and follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment at all times.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed.
• Willingness to complete a TB test (per school requirements).
• Current clearances or ability to obtain prior to starting.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings.
• Skilled in supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges.
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not required.
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative team player mindset.
