Per Diem Paraeducator in Concord, CA

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed for enriching school-based opportunities in the Concord, CA area. As an Instructional Aide, youll provide hands-on support to studentshelping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially in a structured, inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 or small group assistance as directed by educators
• Foster student engagement in lessons and classroom participation
• Support students with transitions, routines, and day-to-day activities
• Implement behavior plans and follow IEP accommodations as needed
• Provide supervision, mobility, or personal care support
• Model and maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming learning space

School Compliance Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
• Willingness to obtain a TB test (per school requirements)
• Meet physical demands: ability to assist with lifting, stand, and walk as needed
• All background clearances current or willingness to complete before starting

Preferred Experience:

• Background in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Exposure to supporting students with autism, special needs, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT a plus, but not required
• Strong reliability, patience, and a collaborative approach
