Per Diem Instructional Assistant - Coarsegold, CA

School paraprofessional substitutes are needed for per diem, flexible roles providing instructional and behavioral support within local schools. As an instructional aide, youll work directly with students, providing individualized guidance and helping them succeed academically, socially, and behaviorally. These assignments offer opportunities on an as-needed basis, so you can accept shifts that fit your availability and interestsideal for compassionate professionals who want to make a real impact in a supportive, structured environment.

What Youll Do:

• Provide 1:1 or small-group assistance to students as directed by teachers and staff
• Follow IEPs and implement behavior support plans as needed
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Support students mobility, supervision, and personal care needs
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere
• Promote positive behaviors and assist with social-emotional development

What Youll Need:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Current TB test (per district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• Ability to obtain or update background clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Skills working with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are a plus
• Patient, reliable, and collaborative approach
