Per Diem Teacher's Aide - Citrus Heights, California

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide essential 1:1 support to students within school-based environments near Citrus Heights, CA. This per diem, as-needed role offers flexibility, letting you select assignments that fit your schedule while contributing to the academic and social success of students. Its a meaningful way to use your compassionate approach and teamwork skills in a structured, rewarding setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom environments
• Deliver 1:1 or small-group support under the guidance of teachers and staff
• Support students with daily routines, transitions, and classroom participation
• Follow and implement behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
• Provide supervision, mobility, and personal care support
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• At least 18 years old
• TB test (in line with district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and physically assist students if necessary
• Willingness to obtain all background clearances prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, child care, special education, or behavioral health
• Background supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices is a plus, but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative work style
