Per Diem Paraeducator in Cicero, IL

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for immediate, flexible, school-based opportunities! Instructional Aides provide essential academic and behavioral assistance to students, often working 1:1 or in small groups within a structured classroom environment. What Youll Do:

• Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classrooms
• Assist students 1:1 or in small groups as directed by teachers and staff
• Help with classroom participation, daily routines, and transitions
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs when applicable
• Support supervision, mobility, and personal care needs as needed
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to pass TB testing (per district requirements)
• Capable of standing, walking, and assisting with lifting
• Current school clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Qualities:

• Experience in school, childcare, special education, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity supporting individuals with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Experience with CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus (not required)
• Patient, reliable, and team-oriented
