Per Diem Teacher Assistant | Cicero, Illinois

Make a difference each day by working as an Instructional Aide Substitute in local schools near Cicero, IL. As an Instructional Aide, you'll play an integral role supporting students 1:1 or in small groups, assisting with classroom participation and daily routines as directed by teachers and staff. You'll have the chance to positively impact students academic, behavioral, and social development while maintaining a respectful and inclusive environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide individualized and small-group academic and behavioral support
• Assist students with transitions, daily routines, and classroom activities
• Implement behavior support plans and follow IEPs as directed
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as necessary
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate collaboratively with teachers and school staff

Required Credentials:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting
• TB test (as required by district)
• Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Prior work in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not required
• Reliable, patient, and team-oriented approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.42 to $30.42. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
