Job Description
Instructional Aide Subs are currently needed for flexible, per diem opportunities supporting students in school settings around the Chicago, IL area. Assignments are available on an as-needed basis, allowing you to select shifts that match your availability and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide academic, behavioral, and social support for students within classrooms
- Offer direct 1:1 or small group assistance as guided by teachers and school staff
- Assist students during daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
- Implement individualized behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs when appropriate
- Help with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
- TB test (as required by local district)
- Capability to stand, walk, and support lifting tasks as necessary
- Willingness to obtain/maintain all relevant background clearances
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in special education, childcare, behavioral health, or school settings
- Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is beneficial, but not required
- Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.42 to $30.42. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
