Per Diem Teacher Assistant | Chicago, Illinois

Instructional Aide Subs are currently needed for flexible, per diem opportunities supporting students in school settings around the Chicago, IL area. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support for students within classrooms
• Offer direct 1:1 or small group assistance as guided by teachers and school staff
• Assist students during daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Implement individualized behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs when appropriate
• Help with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age
• TB test (as required by local district)
• Capability to stand, walk, and support lifting tasks as necessary
• Willingness to obtain/maintain all relevant background clearances

Preferred Experience:

• Previous work in special education, childcare, behavioral health, or school settings
• Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT is beneficial, but not required
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach

Compensation for this position ranges from $19.42 to $30.42. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
