Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 or small-group assistance to students under the direction of classroom teachers and staff
• Support students with academics, classroom routines, and safe participation in school activities
• Implement behavior support plans and follow individual education programs (IEPs) as directed
• Assist students with mobility, supervision, personal care, and transitions throughout the school day
• Maintain a supportive, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere at all times

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• TB test (according to school district needs)
• All required clearances must be current or obtained prior to starting

Preferred Experience:

• Work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting children or students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials (a plus, not required)
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative attitude
