Per Diem Instructional Aide in Chicago, IL

Instructional Aide substitutes are needed to provide meaningful support in school-based settings near Chicago, IL. These flexible, per diem roles offer compassionate professionals the opportunity to make a daily impact, assisting students 1:1 and within small groups according to the needs of the school. What youll do:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom settings
• Provide 1:1 or small-group support following guidance from teachers and staff
• Help students with daily routines, classroom transitions, and engaged participation
• Implement behavior support plans and IEPs as instructed
• Offer supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care if needed
• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and welcoming learning atmosphere

Required for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• PEL License
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TB test as required by the district
• Physically able to stand, walk, and help with lifting as needed
• Obtain or hold current background clearances

Preferred Background:

• Experience in education, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Familiarity with supporting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Training or experience in CPI, PMT, or as an RBT is a plus
• Demonstrated reliability, patience, and teamwork
