Per Diem Paraprofessional in Carlsbad, CA

Instructional Aide Subs are needed to empower students and provide vital support throughout the school day in this rewarding per diem position. Ideal for individuals passionate about education and making a difference, these flexible opportunities allow you to play an essential role as a school-based paraprofessionalhelping students succeed one-on-one and in small group settings.

What Youll Do:

• Provide academic, behavioral, and social support to students in classroom environments
• Offer 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers or staff
• Guide students through daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
• Implement behavior support plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assist with student mobility, supervision, and personal care as needed
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for learning

Requirements for School Compliance:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• TB testing as required by district
• Ability to stand, walk, and support students with lifting if needed
• Current clearances or willingness to obtain them prior to starting

Preferred Background:

• Past experience in school, special education, behavioral health, or child care settings
• Familiarity with supporting students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT experience is a plus, but not required
• Reliable, patient, and enjoys collaborating with a school team
