Per Diem Paraeducator in Carlsbad, CA

Instructional Aide Substitute positions are available for compassionate, adaptable professionals seeking flexible, per diem opportunities in school-based settings near Carlsbad, CA. As a substitute Instructional Aide, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting students with classroom engagement, daily routines, and academic tasks
• Assisting in implementing behavior intervention plans and ensuring IEP compliance
• Providing 1:1 or small-group assistance as directed by teachers and school staff
• Helping students navigate transitions, participate in classroom activities, and maintain positive behavior
• Supporting mobility, supervision, and personal care tasks as required
• Creating and maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed
• TB test in accordance with local district requirements
• Willingness to obtain or provide up-to-date background clearances

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in schools, special education, child care, or behavioral health settings
• Familiarity working with students who have special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• Exposure to CPI, PMT, or RBT techniques is helpful but not required
• Reliable, patient, and collaborative approach
