Per Diem Instructional Aide in Canyon Country, CA

Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed to provide essential 1:1 support for students within a dynamic school environment. This per diem, as-needed opportunity fits compassionate individuals looking to positively impact students while working flexible shifts that align with school coverage needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom environments
• Offer individualized or small group support as guided by teachers and staff
• Help students with daily routines, class transitions, and participation
• Implement behavior support plans and adhere to IEPs when necessary
• Provide supervision, mobility, and personal care assistance
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming learning atmosphere

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain per district requirements)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting if necessary
• School clearance (must be current, or candidate willing to obtain prior to starting)

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in schools, special education, behavioral health, or childcare
• Experience assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
• CPI, PMT, or RBT credentials are helpful but not required
• Dependable, patient, and collaborative approach
